The course was held for one week at Zhejiang University for the master programme’s students with Professor Mette Halskov Hansen from University of Oslo and Professor Li Hongtao from Zhejiang University as lecturers.

The topic of the course was China’s environmental challenges. 11 students from Stockholm, Oslo and Aarhus took part in the course that included a visit to one of China’s largest environmental NGOs, Green Zhejiang, screening of the environmental documentary Under the dome, and student interviews with local inhabitants.

“It was a fast-paced course with professional teachers who enriched our experience”, said Ludwig Sääf, student from Stockholm University.

“This was a great group of students to work with. They were easy to engage and I was impressed by their creativity and ability to come up with really good ideas for term papers within the topic of environment in China”, said Prof. Mette Halskov Hansen.
