Merry White, professor of anthropology at Boston University will give a presentation on the topic ”Coffee and its Places in Japan”.
Merry White is professor of anthropology at Boston University, researching urban social spaces and social change in Japan. Her special interests include the history of the cafe. The Thayer award was given to Merry White for lifetime achievement in Japan Studies. The book won the 2012 Best Food Book Award from the Association for Food Studies.
The lecture is open for everyone to attend.
