Degrees

After completing your studies, it is time to apply for your diploma. The diploma certifies that through your studies you have acquired knowledge and abilities up to a certain level and within a certain area.

 

 

Undergraduate level

When you have completed studies of 180 education credits, of which 90 credits consist of either Economic History I, II and III or International Relations I, II and III, including writing an independent degree project of 15 credits, you can apply for a bachelor's degree in Philosophy in Economic History or International relations.

Application for a degree certificate

 

To obtain a master's degree in the Global Political Economy program (two years), you need to have completed studies of 120 credits, where compulsory courses (for students who began their studies in the autumn of 2020 or later) include:
 

Introduction to Global Political Economy (15 hp)
Qualitative methods course (7,5 hp)*
Quantitative methods course (7,5 hp)*
Research design course (7,5 hp)
Advanced qualitative methods course (7,5 cred) ELLER Advanced quantitative methods course (7,5 hp)
Master Dissertation (30 hp)
*= eller motsvarande (alla obligatoriska poäng på programmets metodspår måste godkännas).

Om du önskar erhålla en oberoende masterexamen i ekonomisk historia eller internationella relationer måste du slutföra 120 hp, där obligatoriska kurser inkluderar:

Qualitative methods course (7,5 hp)
Quantitative methods course (7,5 hp)
Research design course (7,5 hp)
Advanced qualitative methods course (7,5 hp) ELLER Advanced quantitative methods course (7,5 hp)
Master Dissertation (30 hp)
 

In addition, you must complete studies of 45 credits in relevant elective courses, internships, or in courses at other departments where possible.
