She was previously Head of the Department of Education and carried out several institutional mergers and relocations during the mandate period.

After a winding career path, he started as an adjunct lecturer at the Department of Economics in 2004. He has also taught statistics at the Department of Statistics and given statistics courses to other departments and stakeholders.

  • Henrik Österblom How is the Baltic Sea really doing? Henrik Österblom works at the Stockholm Resilience Centre where he conducts interdisciplinary research on the Baltic Sea. There is a great interest in the environmental situation of the Baltic Sea and a willingness to understand the latest research on eutrophication, fishing and climate change. This story shows how research can do more than provide a factual basis to decision-makers and government officials. It can also serve as a basis for children’s programmes and thus help the younger generation understand complex relations in an environment they are interested in.
  • Karin Tjulin Of course you should use your skills Karin Tjulin has worked as a communications officer at the External Relations Office since 2010. She is a trained science journalist and secondary school teacher of English and German – useful skills in the university’s communications concerning collaboration and contract education.
  • Lena Kautsky. Foto: Eva Dalin Take a dip in the National City Park’s Baltic Sea bay? Lena Kautsky got her first job at the university as an assistant in 1970, when she also began her PhD studies. She is Professor of Marine Plant Ecology and has conducted her research at the Askö Laboratory, where she has also been the director for the past nine years.
  • Per Jonas Nordell Thing-finder on display in the Aula Magna Per Jonas Nordell började studera juridik på Stockholms universitet östen 1985. År 1990 började han doktorera på ett avhandlingsprojekt om upphovsrätt till bilder. Efter disputationen fick han en doktorstjänst vid Handelshögskolan i Stockholm och sedan år 2007 är han professor i civilrätt på juridiska fakulteten vid Stockholms universitet. Hans specialområden är framför allt immaterialrätt och marknadsrätt.

Ulrika Mörth, professor of political science, talks about how the name Frescati gives rise to expectations and wonder regarding how the Italian greenery and elegance came to Stockholm University, and about how the name fits well with the fantastic park the university is located in.
