In the 2012 Global Employability Survey, which was published in the New York Times and the International Herald Tribune, thousands of recruiters, chosen from top companies in 20 countries, were asked to rank universities based on the employability of their graduates.

The list is dominated by US and British universities, with Harvard in first place followed by Yale, Cambridge, Oxford, Stanford, M.I.T., Columbia, Princeton and Imperial College London.

Stockholm University is the top-ranked Scandinavian university in 54th place, followed by the University of Gothenburg (73rd), the University of Copenhagen (77th) and Karolinska Institutet (80th).

The study was made by Emerging, a French consulting firm, and Trendence, a German research institute specializing in recruitment.
