Georgia Destouni has also been elected to Vice-Chairman for International Association for Hydrological Sciences (IAHS).

”I am very happy and honoured, having been elected as an AGU Fellow. It’s an important international recognition, which can encourage and inspire our whole research group and our continued research. Having been elected Vice-President of IAHS at the same time is also very pleasing and honouring. It provides an important platform for international involvement in the IAHS International Decade 2013-2022: “Panta Rhei - Everything Flows”, which is dedicated to research about the link between hydrological and social changes. As Vice-Chairman I will work with a focus on the Panta Rhei programme and its international development”, says Georgia Destouni.
