Rutgers is the eighth oldest university in the USA and one of the original nine Colonial Colleges founded before the American Revolution. Rutgers, like Stockholm University, has approximately 60,000 students and offers some 100 undergraduate and 180 graduate programmes.

 

The newly signed agreement is initially valid for three years and allows for two undergraduate students to take full-year exchanges, or four students to take single semester exchanges per academic year.

Rutgers is a research intensive public university that is ranked 61st in the world (2012 Shanghai Jiao Tong Ranking). Among its strongest academic subjects are Philosophy, Geology, Geography, Food Science, Drama/Theatre, Statistics, English, Mathematics, Art History, Physics, Comparative Literature and History.

The largest of the three Rutgers campuses is located in the city of New Brunswick, with convenient access to New York City.
