Meet our students at the end of the spring term

It’s the end of term and the beginning of summer break at Stockholm University. Our editorial team thought it would be fun to speak one more time to the international students we have introduced to our readers on these pages before they go their separate ways. What do our students think about their first term in Stockholm?

Summer plans and the year in perspective are some of the topics that came up in what was our our third conversation with Master’s students Yenenah Haileselaissie and Sara Mehrabi who are each a quarter of the way through their two year programs. We also met Joanna Tsen, an Exchange student from Australia, on the first day of the spring term and were curious to discover her thoughts on her courses and on life in Sweden during the past six months.

YouJin Chong, Master’s student from South Korea, whom some of you may remember from earlier in the term, has left for a University internship in Bangladesh but we’ll catch up with her when she returns to campus for the autumn term.

Yenenah and Sara – and many others – will be returning in the autumn, when we will continue our conversation with them. At the start of term we will also be out and about meeting more new students arriving from different parts of the world to study here at the University.
