National application fee set for non-EU/EEA students

The application fee for students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland applying to study at higher education institutions in Sweden from autumn 2011 has been set at SEK 900 (€90/USD 120).

The Swedish Ministry for Education and Research has now published ordinances regarding application and tuition fees for studies beginning autumn semester 2011.

Students with citizenship in a country outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland will be required to pay a 900 SEK (Swedish kronor) application fee. This fee will be introduced starting with application to autumn semester 2011.

The application period for the autumn term 2011 will be from the beginning of December 2010 to the middle of January 2011.
