New staff magazine published – Issue 1, 2010

Issue 1/2010 of Stockholm University's staff magazine, Universitetsnytt, is now available – the first of the year. All members of staff receive a printed copy of the magazine in their postboxes and the magazine is also available in digital PDF format, via this webpage.

The University's External Relations Office produces the staff magazine, Universitetsnytt, six times per year. As well as a substantial body of articles in Swedish, each number contains a two-page summary in English, with the frequent addition of other English-language material.

The February edition (1/2010) of the magazine contains summaries in English on the following topics:

  • Vice-Chancellor visits the departments
  • DSV creates new opportunities for flexible learning
  • Announcement of ERC support
  • Orientation Day for international students
  • New rules for health and fitness reimbursement
  • More housing for exchange students
  • Award to social anthropologist Sverker Finnström
  • Leading areas within research and education
  • Prime Minister Reinfeldt speaks at the University
  • Carbon offsetting for air travel.
