Prize Recipient 2012

The 2012 Stockholm Prize in Criminology has been awarded to Professor Jan van Dijk(1947) of Tilburg University, for his distinguished research on the prevention of crime and victim assistance.

The 2011 Stockholm Prize in Criminology was jointly awarded to John Laub of the National Institute of Justice, USA, and Robert Sampson of Harvard University, USA.

Prize winner 2010

The winner of the 2010 Stockholm Prize in Criminology was David L. Weisburd of Hebrew University, Israel and George Mason University, USA.

Prize winners 2009

The 2009 Stockholm Prize in Criminology was awarded to Eugenio Raúl Zaffaroni of the Supreme Court of Argentina, and John Hagan of Northwestern University in Illinois, USA.

Prize winners 2008

The winners of the Stockholm Prize in Criminology 2008 were Professors David Olds of the University of Colorado, USA, and Jonathan Shepherd of Cardiff University, UK.

Prize winners 2007

The 2007 Stockholm Prize in Criminology was awarded to Alfred Blumstein and Terrie E Moffitt for their discoveries about the development of criminal behavior over the life-course of individuals.

Prize winners 2006

2006 winners of The Stockholm Prize in Criminology, John Braithwaite and Friedrich Lösel, for their achievements in developing theory and evidence on the prevention of repeat offending, John Braithwaite of the Australian National University and Friedrich Lösel of Cambridge University in the UK have been awarded the Stockholm Prize in Criminology.
