The announcement of the prize winner 2018

The announcement of the winner of the Stockholm Prize in Criminology takes place November 7, 10.30 am. Professor Jerzy Sarnecki and professor Lawrence Sherman, chairmen of the board, will present the winner and their academic work.

What is The Stockholm Prize in Criminology?

The Stockholm Prize in Criminology is a prestigious international award that aims to highlight the work of researchers who contribute to significant developments in criminological research. The prize will be awarded at a ceremony in Stockholm City Hall, in conjunction with The Stockholm Criminology Symposium in June next year.

The prize was presented for the first time in June 2006 at the City Hall in Stockholm. The prize ceremony is held in conjunction with the Stockholm Criminology Symposium.

Prize ceremony for the Stockholm Prize in Criminology

The Stockholm Prize in Criminology 2017 was awarded to Professor Richard E. Tremblay. The prize was awarded by H.M. Queen Silvia in Stockholm City Hall June 20.


The nomination period for the 2018 award has now ended.
