In December 2014 the University Board decided on strategies for Stockholm University. The strategies define the fundamental values and objectives that will guide the university for the next four years. The document should be viewed as the tip of a triangle of which the action plans of the two main scientific areas form the base. At the university level, the strategies are complemented by an action plan decided upon by the Vice-Chancellor.

Four main areas

Strategies for Stockholm University is divided into four main areas: Research and education, Recruitment and competence development, International and national cooperation and Management and operational support. The action plans have essentially the same structure. Under each main area concrete actions are listed based on the general principles found in the overall strategies.
