The alumni event was open to all Cambodian alumni who had received a scholarship from the Swedish Institute or other Swedish scholarships. The idea behind the network is that it will be a source for information about studying in Sweden, and the possibility to obtain a scholarship.
The Sweden Alumni Network of Cambodia will also be a platform for networking among its members, who have continued with successful careers in Cambodia after graduating from their studies in Sweden.

Panha studied the master’s programme in European Intellectual Property Law at the Department of Law, and graduated in July 2017. He is now working as an Attorney-at-Law at Khmer Aspara Law Firm, located in Phnom Penh.

Panha remembers his year in Stockholm as fruitful and amazing. “I learned many new things and obtained precious knowledge that I hardly found in home country. More interestingly, I met a number of friends coming from different parts of the world which I could share my understanding and culture among them,” Panha says. “Pursuing a higher degree at Stockholm University would be the right choice for students from developing countries”, he concludes.
