On 28 April, 2015, Astrid Söderbergh Widding, Vice Chancellor of Stockholm University, and Peter Carpelan, County Commissioner for personnel and research, signed an agreement to cooperate on issues of healthcare and public transit through research, development, innovation and education.

On the leading edge in many research fields

Stockholm County Council already had cooperative agreements with Karolinska Institute and KTH, making it natural to have one with the region’s largest centre of learning as well. Stockholm University’s cutting edge research can make important contributions to the development of the county’s work in healthcare and public transit.

More about the agreement

The agreement went into effect on 1 May, 2015 and includes the activities of all departments at Stockholm University.
