Since there is a considerable shortage of accommodation in Stockholm, we unfortunately cannot guarantee accommodation for every exchange student and we cannot provide housing for students with children or students who are doing an Erasmus internship (or any other internship). Please note that PhD students are not eligible for this accommodation queue (even if they are here on an exchange) instead they can apply for accommodation on this webpage: http://www.su.se/english/staff/relocation/planning-your-stay/accommodation-for-visiting-researchers

Stockholm University does not have a housing guarantee and exchange students that do not recieve accommodation from the Housing Office will have to find housing on their own. Please see our information  about finding housing on your own.

Student accommodation is only rented for one semester at a time, which means that the arrival and departure dates are pre-determined. If your studies continue for one academic year (i.e. Autumn-Spring), your contract can be extended for one semester. Please note that you need to make an extension request online by logging into your "my accommodation" account if you want to extend your contract, since it is not extended automatically. You cannot rent a room or apartment for more than two semesters.

If you have any questions about becoming an exhange student, you must contact your Coordinator at Stockholm University. List of Coordinators

Master students who receive a scholarship via Stockholm University Scholarship Scheme can only rent accommodation for a maximum of 2 semesters and only during their first year of studies at Stockholm University.
