About me

I am Affiliated Researcher at the IIES and Professor of Empirical Economic Research at RWTH Aachen University. I obtained my PhD in economics from the University of Bonn and visited Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona for one academic year during my graduate studies. My fields of interest are macroeconomics, applied econometrics and labor economics. In my research,  I have among other things investigated the role of technological progress and attainment of skill for the business cycle fluctuations of hours worked, employment and unemployment.
