Contract education

Stockholm University can provide short or long courses based on a client’s needs, including courses that result in higher education credits or a course certificate. We can also create lectures and seminars or help you with tutoring for example. All courses are tailored using Stockholm University's expertise in education and research.

The External Relations Office coordinates contract education involving several departments or centres and can also help you to contact the department relevant for your needs. If you already know which department you are interested in, you are welcome to contact them directly.

Among current clients you will find municipalities, schools, agencies, organisations and companies. We also offer contract education to companies and authorities from other countries, for example the course Governance and Management Training that provides education in public management to leaders from the public sector in the Guangdong province in China.

Another example with an international dimension is the project Korta vägen, meaning the short route [to a career] – a project that targets graduates with a foreign background. The goal is to help them establish themselves professionally on the Swedish labour market as soon as possible after their arrival in Sweden. The project is a collaboration between Stockholm University and the Swedish Public Employment Service www.su.se/kortavagen.
