Governance and management training
Stockholm University conducts tailor-made Governance and management training programmes for international professionals in the government sector.

The generous welfare systems in Sweden and the country’s extensive environmental protections are frequently held up as international models. Sweden is also well-known for having an open and efficient public administration and for exports such as the ombudsman institution. All of this has made Sweden a popular destination for leaders in the public sector from countries around the world aiming to further develop their own administrations. Stockholm University can offer foreign civil servants a range of tailor-made training programmes in each of the areas for which Sweden is renowned.
Stockholm University is uniquely placed to provide such training. We are Sweden's largest university and a leader in research in a broad range of fields, including climate and the environment, comparative welfare studies, political science, and public administration. The lush campus is located in the world’s first capital national park, yet it is only ten minutes away from downtown Stockholm. Students enjoy access to most national political and administrative institutions as well as to the rich cultural life of the capital.
