Korta vägen - The short cut for academics to the Swedish employment market
Korta vägen is an initiative of the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen, AF) and Swedish universities of which Stockholm University is one of their collaboration partners. The aim is to help foreign academics establish themselves professionally as soon as possible after their arrival in Sweden.
At Korta vägen you will be assigned to a career councellor with whom you will have individual as well as group consultations. You will attend lectures and go on study visits to get an insight into Swedish society, culture and the dynamics of the Swedish employment market. If you are deemed ready we will arrange for a qualified internship. The content of the program will be adjusted for each participant.
Who can apply to Korta vägen?
If you have studied for three years or more at a university abroad you are qualified according to Stockholm University's entry requirements.

You have to be available for the course Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and be able to study full time, i.e. 40 hours/week. There are no special requirements regarding your language skills in Swedish, but the program is in Swedish.
How do I apply?
