About strategic partnerships
Working with strategic partnerships means building and nurturing long-term relationships with contacts outside the University, especially philanthropists, private foundations and corporations.
Private partners are becoming increasingly important for the development of the University. Partnerships are based on common visions and interests, mutual respect and a long expected duration. The cornerstones of a partnership are activities in research, education and collaboration to which both the University and the partner contribute.
Partnerships of strategic importance to the University
Both people within the University as well as partners can come up with the basic idea of a partnership. All such ideas are evaluated in terms of viability, feasibility, and desirability from a University perspective. This evaluation process ensures that the partnership meets the guidelines of the University and is of strategic importance to the University.
The Vice-Chancellor decides on the conclusion of partnerships
All partnerships must have the explicit support of the department, faculty and Deputy Vice-Chancellor in question. The Vice-Chancellor decides on the conclusion of partnerships. Partnerships change the University and increase interaction with the surrounding community, to the benefit of both parties. The aggregate volume of partnerships is built at such pace and with such strategies that core values and functions of the University and the academic system are maintained.
Commitment and investment
Philanthropists, foundations and companies considering contributing to the University's significant knowledge development see their involvement as an investment in a better environment and a better society.
