General information about the Nordic Centre in India (NCI)

The Nordic Centre in India is a consortium of universities in the Nordic countries, established in 2001 with the aim to promote the Nordic countries in India and facilitate exchanges and contacts between Indian and Nordic universities.


Member benefits

NCI has a Liaison Office in Delhi that can represent your university in a cost-effective manner without the need to hire somebody for the job. You can receive help with:

  • contacts and collaboration;
  • organisation of workshops, conferences, and events;
  • research and teacher collaborations;
  • visits to India;
  • visas;
  • access to a room at the NCI Delhi residence.

Studies

Summer courses and programmes are organised for students at the bachelor’s and master’s levels. Every summer, NCI offers places in their summer courses in Bangalore and Hyderabad to students at Stockholm University. Applications should be submitted to Stockholm University. The deadline for applications was in February for this summer’s courses (2015).
