Who may contact you, and with what kind of questions?

All researchers and teachers at the departments I am responsible for are welcome to discuss specific projects or general questions about collaboration. This may involve contacts with workplaces to arrange work placements or study visits, help finding agreement templates, or advice concerning applications for collaboration grants. To assist me in this work, I have access to resources at the External Relations and Communications Office, as well as the collective knowledge of the network of Appointed Liaison Officers.

How would you like to contribute as an Appointed Liaison Officer?

Collaboration that is stimulating both to universities and external parties is something I have been engaged in for a long time. It seems obvious that research and education cannot operate separately from the rest of society, and this must be actively promoted. I have done this in my own research and teaching, in various assignments for the Faculty of Humanities, and in the project “Humsamverkan”. This assignment was a natural continuation of that work.

What are you working on right now?

As Appointed Liaison Officer, I aim to encourage more researchers in the humanities to apply for collaboration grants and organise a meeting with the Swedish Energy Agency, who wants more humanists to seek funding there. As a researcher, I am starting a project that will collaborate with businesses in order to study multilingualism in the workplace. As a teacher, I am substantiating the development of the Swedish Language Consultancy Programme to include stronger ties to the labour market.
