Choosing your courses
Generally, the language of instruction at Stockholm University is Swedish, but the University also offers a large number of undergraduate and graduate courses in English.
Full-time studies are equivalent to 30 ECTS credits per term/semester. Besides higher level courses that may form part of a degree, it is possible to take a Swedish course for beginners at Stockholm University. As an exchange student, you may register for 30 ECTS credits plus Swedish language courses. You may chose any courses in the study area named in the agreement, provided that you meet the prerequisites specified for each course. It is important that your home university approves the courses you plan to take at Stockholm University. Choose your courses together with your department at your home university and your department at Stockholm University.

Some courses, such as courses within a Master programme, can most of the time only be found on the departmental websites. Visit the relevant departmental website for more information.
Generally, your course selection must be approved and signed by your home institution, your host department and yourself. Any changes must likewise be approved and signed by your home institution, your host department and yourself.
