Health service

The Stockholm Student Health Unit (SSHU) can help you deal with any physical, psychological or social problems that may affect your study situation. If your problem is related to areas other than those dealt with by the SSHU, you will be provided with information about where to turn instead.

Appointments can be made for health counselling and psychological counselling during telephone times. Telephone counselling is also available for various matters.

Health counselling telephone:
08 674 77 03, 08 674 77 04 or 08 674 77 05 (leave a message if necessary – make sure to give your phone number – and a nurse will call you back).
 
Doctor’s telephone hours (08 674 77 07):
Mondays and Thursdays 8.30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
 
Psychological counselling telephone hours (08 674 76 99):
Mondays 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Tuesdays 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Thurdays 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
 
Walk-in reception for medical and psychological counselling
There is a walk-in reception at Stockholm university, in the Södra huset (“South House”) complex. Rooms B4117 – B4120 (in the connecting link between Building B and C, level 4).
The walk-in reception is available on Mondays and Wednesdays 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
 
A walk-in reception is also available on Mondays and Thursdays 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in
Studentpalatset, Norrtullsgatan 2 (Underground/Tube/T-bana: Odenplan).
 
The Stockholm Student Health Unit functions as a complement to the standard health and medical services available to residents of Sweden. Other health-care services, such as emergency treatment, psychiatric care and sexual counselling are provided by the Stockholm County Council.
