Why the shower rooms at Lappkärrsberget need to be renovated

Lappkärrsberget was built in the late 1960s and the plumbing and shower rooms are currently in a great need of renovation. Several water damages have occurred and many shower rooms have been damaged by damp caused by poor insulation in the walls and flooring. This is why SSSB is replacing the plumbing in the building and at the same time giving the shower rooms a complete make-over. The renovation work on the shower rooms at Lappkärrsberget has been going on since year 2002 and will be finished in July 2012.

Disturbances during the renovation period

A renovation will produce a lot of noise and dust for all tenants, but we will naturally do our utmost to minimise these disturbances. You will still be able to live in your apartment while we’re renovating your shower room and during the renovation period you can use one of the two temporary shower rooms in your corridor. To minimize disturbance from the building work, a temporary door will be installed between your hall and the other parts of your apartment.
