Welcome to Conference Services and Aula Magna at Stockholm University!
In Aula Magna, the great auditorium of Stockholm University, you can arrange everything from major events to small seminars, all under one roof, in our magnificent building! Aula Magna is located in the heart of Stockholm University’s campus at Frescati. It was inaugurated in 1997, and is one of architect Ralph Erskine’s most important works.
This building is designed to let the special Scandinavian light reflect off its light wooden surfaces, creating a bright and spacious atmosphere. The walls dissolve into generous glass vistas, revealing the centuries-old oaks that surround Aula Magna.
Our Conference Services personnel are not only able to help you prepare for and carry out your conference or event, but to make it a memorable occasion for your guests!
Conference Services arrange Stockholm University's academic ceremonies. The Conferment of Doctor's Degrees and Inauguration of New Professors takes place in September and the Ceremony of Conferment of Master's Degrees is held twice a year, in May and in October.
