Student Union membership card
The Student Union membership card is called the Campus Card (Campuskortet). It is a student card packed with discounts and benefits
It is a valuable document which doubles as a student ID, and which can be used to receive discounts such as student rates at SL and SJ (please note that these discounts are only available if you are studying at least three quarters of a full-time course load).
The Campus Card offers lots of student discounts on items ranging from course literature, computers, and dentist visits, to car rentals, clothing, and music. Here on our benefits web page, you can read about all benefits and discounts.
If you do not wish to become a member, the Student Union offers the possibility to order the Classic Student Card. For a 40 SEK service charge, the card will be mailed to your home address. The Classic Student Card contains some, but not all, of the discounts available in the Campus Card.
The Student Union is an organisation run by students, with the main purpose to improve the educational quality at the University. All members are entitled to vote in the election of the Student Union Board. To be able to influence and improve educational quality, students have representatives in every board at the University.
The Student Union is a free-standing organisation, separate from the University. As a member you are offered support dealing with university departments and authorities. The Student Union also offers a mentor programme to exchange students and arranges other social activities on campus such as pubs, film screenings, parties and debates.
