RISKEDU is a three year project funded by the Marcus och Amalia Wallenbergs Minnesfond. The aim is to generate knowledge about how science teaching can support the development of high-school students’ competency in making decisions based on informed risk assessment in societal issues involving exposure to threats associated with modern technologies, such as ionizing radiation from nuclear power plants, electromagnetic fields from wireless telecommunication or the rapidly growing field of biotechnology.

RISKEDU is a collaborative project involving the following institutions from the Stockholm area, Stockholm University, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Blackeberg high school and Tumba high school. The duration of this project is July 2015 – June 2018.
