Confocal Microscope Zeiss LSM 780

This inverted microscope is suitable for live cell imaging in 3 and 4D, bleaching (FRAP), photo activation techniques and spectral analyses. It is equipped with a diod laser 405 nm, an Argon laser with 458/488/514 nm lines, DPSS 561 nm and HeNe 633 nm laser. The instrument has a spectral detector (GaAsp 32-channels) for acquisition of Lambda Stacks and subsequent digital separation into component dyes, three additional PMTs, two for confocal detection and one for non-confocal bright field images. The spectral detection unit is adjustable within 390-750 nm. The instrument can be used for FCS and RICS. Standard equipment for ocular observation of reflected light is present as well as a heating stage and an incubator for controlled temperature and CO2-concentration.

The following lenses are available:
Plan-Apo 10x/0.45
Plan-Apo 20x/0.8
Plan-Apo 40x/1.3 Oil
Plan-Apo 63x/1.4 Oil
LD C-Apo 63x/1.15 W corr

The system is controlled by the ZEN black 2011 software.
For image processing a separate workstation with identical software is available.
