The University of Notre Dame, on behalf of the Kroc's Institute, invites applications for its visiting research fellowships.

These enable outstanding scholars focused on peace research to come to the University of Notre Dame for a semester or a full academic year. The institute particularly seeks scholars who will actively integrate their research with ongoing Kroc research initiatives, addressing one of the following areas:

  • gender and conflict or peace-building;
  • Diaspora communities, conflict and peace-building;
  • peace studies.

Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree before the beginning of the scholarship.

Fellowships begin at the start of a semester in August or January. Untenured fellows receive a stipend of USD 25,000 per semester and tenured fellows receive USD 30,000 per semester. Housing is provided at no costs, and fellows have library and internet access and document retrieval services.
