Baltic Sea Centre - a focal point for marine research

Stockholm University has a long tradition of marine research, especially focusing on the Baltic Sea. The Baltic Sea Centre was founded to strengthen and consolidate the major marine activities available here. We aim to improve the visibility of research and current projects, and make sure the results are spread to inform society.

We offer important ground recources ...

One of the Baltic Centre's main tasks is to provide, develop and maintain expensive physical and financial resources for marine research.

Another important task is to make research results and information available for those who work with management as well as and other interested parties. We achieve this for example through our production of Environmental Reports, our bi-annual popular magazine HavsUtsikt, and through the website www.havet.nu.
