June Eyckmans is Lecturer in the Linguistics Department at Ghent University where she teaches and undertakes research in cognitive linguistics and translation studies. She obtained her PhD at the Radboud University of Nijmegen (the Netherlands) in 2004 on the methodology of L2 vocabulary assessment. Her research interests include cognitive approaches to foreign language learning and the methodology of interpreting and translation assessment. She publishes in national and international journals and she supervises research projects on corpus linguistics, simultaneous interpreting, translation competence, phraseology, language testing and vocabulary acquisition. She organizes conferences and workshops on these topics.
