Objective:  Combustible waste should be reduced by 10 per cent compared to 2010.

Objective partially achieved: 5,5 per cent reduction.

In 2013, the departments/equivqlent implemented many measures to increase their recycling. For example, containers were purchased to allow for source separation in the kitchens. A total of 489 271 kg of combustibel waste were generated.

Objective: Electricity use per square metre should not increase compared to 2010.

Objective not achived: 1 kWh per square metre increase.

This is despite the fact that the departments/equivalent implemented many measures to reduce electricicity use. such as imposing energy requirements on purchases and installing energy-saving functions. A total of 32 496 523 kilowatt hours of electricity were used.

Objective: Air travel - 3 per cent reduction of carbon emissions by 2013-12-31 compared to 2011.

Objective not achived: 18 per cent increase.

In spite of efforts, carbon emissions from air travel increased by about 18 er cent between 2011 and 2013.Mesaures include replacing travel with video conferencing and travelling by train instead of airplane for distances shorter than 500 kilometres. Employee´s flights in 2013 released 3 556 834 kg carbon dioxide.

Objective: Survey carbon emissions from car travel (private car, taxi, leased car, and official car) and certain bus travel on official by 2012-12-31.

Objective partially achived.

The procedures for reporting car travel have been improved. The total reported carbon emissions from car travel in 2012 were 126 008 kg. In 2012 the  reported emissions were 90 136 kg.

Objective: Rental bike stands should be deployed on campus.

Objective achived: Rental bike stands are in place

Since August 2013, rental bike stands are available in four locations around campus. The stands are available in four locations around campus, to employees and students.

Objective: Copy paper - reduce consumption by 5 per cent compared to 2010.

Objective achieved: Reduction of appeoximately 30 per cent.

The departments/equivalent have implemented many measures to reduces the use of copy paper. Measures include the digitisation of documentation, double-sided printing, and the introductionof a code system for printing.

Objective: Information about ongoing environmental work should be availavble to students on the University website by 2014-05-31

Objective achived: The environmental website is available to students since May 2013.

Objective: Make it visible to students which courses and programmes contain elements of  of sustainable development, in accordance with Chapter 1, Section 5 of the Higher Education Act, by 2013-13-31

A questionaire has been distributed to the directors of study in order to find out about elements of sustainable development in courses and programmes. The result from the questionnaire and an in-depth study of three environmentally certified universities´ working methods led to a proposed method for continued efforts.

Objective: Measure the scholary production on sustainable development by investigating the use of selected keywords over a certain period of time.

Objective achived: A study has been carried out.

The scholary production on sustainable development was measured through a bibliometric study using selected keywords. The results of the study show how the term sustainable development has appeared and developed in the University´s research between 2005 and 2012.
