The Second International Symposium on Biomolecular Archaeology took place in Stockholm, Sweden, September 7-9, 2006. The general aim of the symposium was to stimulate research in the subject area and to encourage the exchange of information between researchers in different disciplines.
Focus of the symposium was the application of biomolecular techniques to archaeological questions, this ideally in combination with “traditional” archaeological research methods.
The symposium was hosted by the Archaeological Research Laboratory at Stockholm University, and the organizing commmittee consisted of:

The Fifth International symposium on biomolecular archaeology will take place in Beijing 15-18 August 2012 (see ISBA5)
