Choe Sang Hee belongs to the first generation of South Korean authors writing young adult novels. Despite of the genre’s worldwide popularity, Korean literature only recently has developed a growing consciousness of the young adult demographic and the margin of experience dividing childhood from adulthood. The public reading at Stockholm University will highlight major steps of Choe Sang Hee’s writing career and introduce her most successful works. In particular, Choe Sang Hee will read passages from her story collection Del Mundo which won the Sakyejul Literature Award in 2014.

The event is sponsored by the Residency program of the Korean Arts Council thanks to which Choi Sang Hee is currently spending three months in Stockholm.

We welcome everybody to meet and talk with the Korean author!
