ForskarFredag is a meeting place and an opportunity for dialogue between researchers and the public. The aim of the event is to encourage young people to pursue higher education and research careers, to challenge stereotypes about researchers, show the fun and exciting side of research and give new role models.

At events, Bolin experts presented the personal aspect of climate impact, opened a dialogue about our daily choices, such as consumption, food, transportation, and gave examples of sustainable habits. High school students showed great engagement when discussing the impact of food on the climate and the causes.

ForskarFredag has been coordinated nationally by the association Vetenskap & Allmänhet since 2006 and is part of the European science festival European Researchers' Night. The theme for ForskarFredag 2022 was "A better and healthier world" which originates in the EU's five mission areas.
