We are a multi-disciplinary consortium of over 400 scientists that conduct research related to the Earth's climate.

Greencarb expedition | August to September 2026

The Bolin Centre for Climate Research is proud to support the Greencarb expedition, which investigates how climate-driven glacier melt releases methane and carbon into the oceans. By studying the fate of this material and its effects on ocean chemistry, the expedition aims to improve our understanding of carbon fluxes, ocean acidification, and greenhouse gas emissions in a rapidly changing climate.
