The Center for Monetary Policy and Financial Stability (CeMoF)
The Center for Monetary Policy and Financial Stability (CeMoF) is a collaboration between Stockholm Business School (SBS), the Institute for International Economics Studies (IIES), and the Department of Economics (ECON).
CeMoF's mission is to promote research and learning in the areas of monetary policy and financial stability.
Affiliated PhD students are awarded a certificate from CeMoF, if they complete 22,5 credits where the core course Monetary Economics is mandatory for all as well as at least one of our other core courses. The remaining credits can be attained by completing any of our core or elective courses. Another requirement is that at least one chapter in a student's doctoral thesis covers the money and finance area.
We further recommend students from SBS to take the PhD course Macroeconomics II as background.
