Location: Department of Education. Room 1511

Discover new possibilities for examining your students with the digital support systems offered by Stockholm University. Engage in discussions and reflections on how to refine your digital assessments and receive an overview of the digital examination tool, Inspera.

Join us for an interactive workshop hosted by the Centre for the Advancement of University Teaching (CeUL). This event is designed specifically for university educators at Stockholm University who want to advance their approaches to digital examination.

About the workshop

Assessment serves as a valuable tool for educators, providing proof of whether the teaching methods and learning activities within a course have effectively prepared students to meet the learning outcomes. Assessments can adopt various formats — they may be written or oral, conducted individually or in groups. Typically marking the culmination of a course, assessment can also be integrated at different stages to offer ongoing, formative feedback to learners.

Our workshop is tailored to explore the ways in which you can employ the digital support systems that Stockholm University has made available for assessing students.

The workshop will include:

  • A short introduction on how to evaluate knowledge in a pedagogically motivated way.
  • Starting from learning outcomes and existing examination types and questions from one of your courses, analyse whether these can be developed in relation to a knowledge taxonomy and usability index.
  • A short comparison between Inspera, Stockholm University's tool for digital examinations, and Athena for assessment purposes.
  • A collaborative space to discuss and contemplate methods for enhancing the digital assessment process.
  • Practical guidance and recommendations on how to combine various forms of examination during a course.

Workshop leader is Christine Storr, Lecturer at the Department of Law, and Eva Svärdemo Åberg, Senior lecturer Department of Education members of CeUL's Digital examination team. The workshop is held in English.
