AI tools has the potential of transforming the way we search and manage information in academia. This workshop makes you better equipped to make informed decisions about the adoption and integration of AI tools into your research and teaching practices.
A workshop for university teachers at Stockholm University who want to explore the use of AI search tools for searching and managing literature and discover their benefits and limitations in their teaching.
About the workshop
With the growing amount of academic content and the fast pace at which new information is being created, it has become increasingly difficult to find, filter, and analyze relevant research. Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools offer powerful solutions to help navigate and extract value from this vast sea of information. In this workshop, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of various AI tools and their applications in information search and management within the academic sphere.
Program:
- Introduction to AI and its role in information search and management
- Overview of AI tools for information search, discovery, and management
- Use cases and examples of AI applications
- Hands-on demonstration and practical exercises using AI tools
- Resources for further learning about AI in information search and management
By the end of the workshop, you will have a well-informed perspective on the capabilities and limitations of AI search tools, and be equipped with practical skills to use AI search tools for searching and managing literature in your teaching practices.
Workshop leaders are Andreas Jemstedt, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Education and Alexandra Farazouli, Doctoral Student at the Department of Education. The workshop is held in English.

The workshop is aimed at all teaching staff and educational managers, regardless of subject affiliation, at Stockholm University. Participation is free of charge. Book your place in good time, as places are limited. First come, first served is applied.
Organizer is the Centre for the Advancement of University Teaching (CeUL). CeUL offers workshops on a variety of teaching and learning topics with the aim to support and stimulate engaging and high-quality teaching at all levels at Stockholm University.
The workshop offers an opportunity to explore and develop academic teaching skills that falls under category 5. Course designer. The workshop offers tools and ideas to creating and developing courses.
