The art of avoiding plagiarism
Tired of collecting documents for the disciplinary board because of suspected potential plagiarism cases? In this workshop we work with cases and reflect on how to detect bad habits at an early stage. How can we help our students to write, cite and think by themselves?
This workshop is for Teachers,course leaders, director of studies and staff at Stockholm University involved in the processes surrounding examination and plagiarism.
About the workshop
The workshop is based upon the handbook on plagiarism prevention produced by Christophe Premat, Annelie Gunnerstad and Christine Bendixen at Stockholm University.
During the workshop we will work with anonymous cases and reflect define the best recommendations to avoid plagiarism. The focus is on examination forms and instructions. How can we help our students to write, cite and think by themselves?
We encourage participants to bring your own, anonymised examples of plagiarism to be used as a starting point for contextualising the problem in different academic areas.

The workshop is aimed at all teaching staff and educational managers, regardless of subject affiliation, at Stockholm University. Participation is free of charge. Book your place in good time, as places are limited. First come, first served is applied.
