Welcome to a workshop on teaching and learning with Centre for the Advancement of University Teaching (CeUL).

This workshop is aimed towards teachers at Stockholm University who are interested in using digital collaborative forms of teaching.

About the workshop

One of the constant issues in all forms of education is how to plan teaching in such a way as to activate, challenge and motivate students. Lectures and text seminars can be enriched with more interactive and collaborative forms of teaching where the students get opportunities to grapple with more complex tasks in the form of scenarios, case studies or problems where theories and practice meet.

In the workshop we investigate and discuss what interactive and collaborative teaching options are offered with Zoom and Athena as the basis. The theoretical underpinnings of active learning are presented in the workshop and you will also get an opportunity to try out some tools for digital collaborative teaching. The principles of active learning can of course be used in campus-based teaching, not least in the tailormade ALC rooms (Active Learning Classroom) or Flexi rooms.
