Student checklist for online-studies
The automne semester 2021 starts online. All our courses offered in English by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences Education are web-based with instruction given via e-meeting service Zoom and digital learning platform Athena.
Technical devices
In order to participate in online course, you need the following:
- A computer, tablet or mobile phone with a built-in or separate web-cam.
- A headset (headphone with microphone)
- Access to a quiet place and quick and reliable internet access.
Web-based instruction
Once registrated on your course, you will find all instruction and schedule for the course through the digitala learning platform Athena:

E-meeting service Zoom
Stockholm University uses Zoom for all web-based teaching. Students need to install Zoom on their computer or smartphone in order to participate in the web-based teching. A webcamera and microphone with the computer or smartphone is nessescary.
