The oak is associated with a large diversity of microorganisms, that live on and within its tissue. These organisms are collectively called the plant microbiota.  This project will focus on understanding the interactions between the plant and its microbiota, and their influence on oak’s health, performance, and tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses. The project will be highly interdisciplinary involving ecology, pathology, bioinformatics, and  statistics.

The master student will have the opportunity to learn molecular techniques, various bioinformatic tools, microbial data analysis and interpretation.

Project starts in 2019 and you will be part of the Plant-Microbe-Insect Lab.
