The Department of Astronomy is located in the Albano area north of Roslagstull in Stockholm, in the middle of the Royal National City Park.
The department is housed on the 6th floor in the AlbaNova building and on the 4th floor in House 3 in the Albano area. Albanova University Center is Stockholm's center for physics, astronomy and biotechnology for Stockholm University and the Royal Institute of Technology KTH. The main building was designed by the Danish architect Henning Larsen and in 2001 was selected as "Stockholm's most beautiful building".

Public transport
Bus: Bus 61 stops 50m outside the main entrance to AlbaNova. The bus connects to the metro's red line at station "Tekniska Högskolan", and to the metro's green line and the commuter trains at station Odenplan.
The metro: The nearest metro station is "Tekniska Högskolan". Select exit Körsbärsvägen and follow the road up the hill or take bus 61.
