4 DBB researchers awarded grants from The Swedish Cancer Society (Cancerfonden)

In their latest funding announcement, the Swedish Cancer Society has awarded grants to 4 researchers from the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics.

Prof. Mats Nilsson has been awarded 3 750 000 SEK for the project “Studying co-evolution of cancer and T-Cell clones in breast cancer tumors through In Situ Sequencing”.

Prof. Pål Stenmark has been awarded 3 750 000 SEK for the project “Structural and biochemical studies of enzymes within nucleotide metabolism and DNA repair and the development of inhibitors targeting them”.

Prof. David Drew has been awarded 1 600 000 SEK for the project “Structural basis of PET tracer recognition and inhibition in Glucose (GLUT) Transporters”.

Prof. Einar Hallberg has been awarded 1 200 000 SEK for the project “Chromatin organization and differentiation in cancer”.
