The Swedish Research Council awarded grants to 5 DBB researchers

5 researchers from the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics have received grants from The Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet).

Research project grant within Medicine and health:

Prof. Mats Nilsson has been awarded a grant of 5 600 000 SEK for the project ”Visualizing evolution of resistance in breast cancer tumors through In Situ Sequencing”.

Prof. Eva Hedlund has been awarded a grant of 5 600 000 SEK for the project ”ALS as a systems biology disease: Linking bioenergetic dysfunction with cell-cell miscommunication”.

Starting grant within Medicine and health:

Iskra Pollak-Dorocic has been awarded a grant of 6 000 000 SEK for the project ”Spatio-molecular and functional interrogation of serotonin subsystems”.

Prof. Jan-Willem de Gier has been awarded a grant of 4 000 000 SEK for the project "The proteases of Escherichia coli".

Starting grant within Natural and engineering sciences:

Emil Marklund has been awarded a grant of 4 400 000 SEK for the project "Biophysical investigations of molecular recognition in high-throughput".
