Welcome to study with us! We have courses and programmes at both first and second level. We give Teacher Education Programmes and courses within the subjects fields of Child and Youth studies, Early Childhood Education and Care, School-Age Education and Care and Children's Culture. The majority of our courses and programmes are given in Swedish.

Courses for international students

We offer the following three courses in Early Childhood Education and Care at first level. Its corresponds to courses given the third semester in our Swedish Preschool Teacher Education Programme.

Courses in Early Childhood Education and Care

Early Childhood Education focusing on Science and Education for Sustainability, 12 credits (UB313F)

Early Childhood Education focusing on Mathematics and Technology, 12 credits (UB314F)

Early Childhood Education: Explorative Learning, 6 credits (UB308F)

The courses in Early Childhood Education are offered both during the autumn and spring semester. An advantage with these courses is that Swedish students from the Swedish Preschool Teacher Education Programme can choose these courses which means that exchange students will get to know local students during the courses.

You make a late registration in the same way as during the regular application period via: www.antagning.se

Course in School-Age Educare

We offer one course in School-Age Education and Care, first level. During the course you will learn about Swedish school-age childcare which is also known as Afterschool care. Theories about children’s play and learning will be introduced and discussed and you will learn about outdoor pedagogy.

Schoolage Educare, 15 credits (UB129F)

The course is offered during autumn semesters and can be combined with one or two of the Early Childhood Education courses or with a 15-credit course offered by another department.
