Rules for taking an exam

You are obliged to follow the rules below. The invigilator will decide if there are grounds to dismiss a student due to disruptive behaviour.

  • Sit according to the placement list - you may not choose your own seat in the exam room.
  • 45-minute rule - no one are allowed to leave the examination room during the first 45 minutes after the start of the examination. You are not allowed to enter later than 45 minutes after the start of the examination. If the exam is written in several halls, it is important that you go to the room you have been seated in. The invigilator will help you and refer you to the correct room.
  • It is not permitted to leave the room until the invigilator has received your signature on the attendance list.
  • You must present an ID card to the invigilator on request.
  • Only permitted aids are allowed during the exam. Permitted aids will be announced during the lectures before the exam. Students who cheat are suspended from studies.
  • It is prohibited to talk during the examination.
  • You are not allowed to use any other writing papers or note pads than the ones provided by the invigilator.
  • You are obliged to follow the invigilator's instructions.
  • Outerwear and bags are to be placed at designated locations.
  • All electronic equipment, including mobile phones, is forbidden during the exam and must be turned off and placed in a bag or in outerwear.
  • On the cover page, you must indicate which questions you have answered and how many pages you are submitting. 
  • The information in the header of all submitted sheets must be completed within the allocated time frame.
  • Remember to wright the correct course code on your exam.
